What is AFCAT?
AFCAT is the Air Force Common Admission Test, an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air Force. It's a prestigious opportunity for both men and women aspiring to join the Air Force as officers in various branches: Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical).
AFCAT 2024 Online Application: Important Dates and Details
The Indian Air Force is concluding the AFCAT 1 application window on December 30, 2023, after releasing the application form on December 1, 2023, to fill a total of 317 vacancies. Notably, there has been an increase in the application fees for the AFCAT exam. Candidates are now required to pay INR 550 along with GST charges for application, previously set at INR 250.
The AFCAT application form for 2024 is aimed at filling vacancies in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches, welcoming applications from both male and female candidates. Mark your calendars as AFCAT 1, 2024 exam dates have been confirmed for February 16, 17, and 18, 2024.
Looking ahead, the AFCAT 2 application form for 2024 is set to be released on June 1, 2024. Moreover, after the application process concludes, there will be an AFCAT application correction window available. This will enable candidates to edit specific details, including their name, father's name, passport-size photograph, signature, and thumb impression. However, other details entered in the AFCAT application form 2024 will remain uneditable.
